Peanut Butter Vanilla Oat Pregnancy Protein Bars

Here is a very filling and tasty recipe I made for a nutritiously dense protein bar.  If you like peanut butter, this is a great recipe to use. The video below shows how it goes together.

1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup Amaranth flour
1/2 cup oat bran
1/2 cup Smart Meal Vanilla protein powder (8TBS or 113 g)
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup raisins or dried fruit and chopped
¼ cup golden flax seeds
1 ½  cup soymilk

Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl.  Stir and mix well with a spoon.   When all mixed into a thick paste, put into lightly greased  9” x 9” pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 – 45 minutes.

When done baking, let cool.  These will still be moist upon removal from oven.  As they cool they will continue to firm up.  These will have a cake like consistency. A small piece is very filling.

Cut into squares. Wrap in individual bars. Put into freezer bags and freeze. These get very tasty when you take them out of the freezer. Just eat when they get to room temp. Good for 6months.
