1st Trimester

1st trimesterThe first trimester of pregnancy begins when a fertilized egg implants into a woman’s uterus. This occurs about 7 days after the egg is fertilized.  The first trimester ends when the fetus is about 12 weeks old. (This is about 14 weeks from the first day of the last normal menstrual period.)

During the first trimester, your body will start to undergo amazing changes. Your baby, once just a single cell, will go through rapid growth.  The more you can feed your body through high quality, pure food and additional supplementation that has been shown throughout history to really support you and the baby.

It is important to begin taking prenatal vitamins as soon as you discover early pregnancy symptoms and confirm it.

Folic acid and calcium are important for your growing baby and help to prevent birth defects.

The amount of energy and fuel intake your new baby will require is a surprising change for many women. In this section, you will find top notch nutritional support products that can help you grow healthier cells from the early phases of your pregnancy.

You will find that some of the recommended products for the different stages of fetal development can be (and should be) used throughout the pregnancy, delivery and recovery. Others should only be used at specific times as they are meant for short term use.  Be sure to read traditionally recommended uses for each product on the pages shown.
